Global Design Project #GDP370

 Hello and welcome,

Today I'll be sharing with you the latest sketch challenge #GDP370 at Global Design Project make sure you check out their designs using the sketch below.

I always love Global Design Sketch challenges because the hard work is done for you. Now all you have to do is decide which stamp set to use!

Well, it wasn't too hard to choose from as I just couldn't wait to ink up the new Adorable Owls Stamp Set (160269) which is a Saleabration item, and it will be available to customers next year. It all starts from 5th January - 28th February 2023. Choose a free Saleabration product with every $90 AUD / $180 AUD you spend (before shipping and handling). The Adorable Owl Stamp Set is free when you spend $90 AUD on Stampin' Up! products. If you live in Australia, you can shop with me at my online store here.

These cute owls are in water colour using inks and watercolor pencils. I've used the colours from the Dandy Designs 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper (160836) this is another free item available next year when you spend $180 AUD on Stampin' Up! products. The colours in this particular panel are Fresh Freesia, Mango Melody and Petal Pink. I love this colour palette together.

I've stamped the owls in Stazon ink onto Shimmery White Cardstock and I thought it would be fun to colour them in Fresh Freesia, Smoky Slate, Petal Pink and Mango Melody ink. I added similar colours using the Watercolor pencils and blending them in with the Water Painter.

The owls are layered with the Stylish Shapes circle die in Basic White, adding coloured ink in Gorgeous Grape and Smoky Slate with the Blending Brush.

There are three fun sentiments in the stamp set and I've fussy cut out the "Hoot! Hoot!" from "You're so cute". To finish off the card I added a few of the Fresh Freesia Loose Flower Flourishes to the card.

Thank you for visiting my blog today, I would so love to hear your thoughts on my project by leaving a comment below.

Artisan Design Team - Star Treats Bag

Hello and welcome,

My name is Vicki Boucher and I'm from Melbourne, Australia. Today I'll be sharing with you how to create a fun background by using the Stars Treats Bags (159833) in different ways. They are great as gift bags but sometimes I like to use Stampin' Up! products by thinking outside the box and create something a little bit different with what you've got.

Here I used a vibrant colour combo of Orchid Oasis, Coastal Cabana, Parakeet Party, Daffodil Delight, Calypso Coral, Polished Pink, and Gorgeous Grape.

Start by cutting the Star Treat Bag in half with Paper Snips.

Next use the zig zag edge of the bag to create an ombre effect with the Blending Brush and ink. Start with the cool colours first.

So the inks don't blend, use a new bag stencil for the warm colours. Continue until you've completed with all of the colours.

Use the stars side of the treat bag as a mask with a Palette Knife and Shimmery White Embossing Paste. Carefully remove mask and let the embossing paste dry.

Celebrate with Tags (159974)

To go with the background layer, I used the Celebration with Tags bundle (159974) which can be located on page 67 in the Stampin' Up! July - December 2022 Mini Catalogue.

The stamped images are from the Celebrate with Tags stamp set, stamped in Versamark onto Basic Black cardstock, add White Stampin' Emboss Powder remove any excess and heat set with the Heat Tool. Then die-cut out the images with the coordinating Celebration Tag Dies. I've fussy cut out the sentiment with Paper Snips.

Thank you for visiting my blog today, I would so love to hear your thoughts on my project by leaving a comment below.

Colour INKspiration Challenge #CI134

 Hello and welcome,

My name is Vicki Boucher, and I am from Melbourne, Australia. Tonight, it's the latest Colour INKspiration Challenge #CI134 and this photo was chosen by Cheryll Miller. Love this photo it reminds me of summer.

The colour combination for #CI134 is Sweet Sorbet, Parakeet Party and Basic White. As well as the chosen colours you may also add Basic White, Very Vanilla, Basic Black, Crumb Cake, Sahara Sand and metallics to your project. We also allow 'Ivory' and 'Bronze' in the Stampin' Blends. If you don't have all the colour palette, feel free to use the closest SU substitute (ie: Poppy Parade instead of Sweet Sorbet .... you get the drift).

The challenge will run for almost 3 weeks until 7pm (AEST) on Monday 12th December 2022 details to follow at the end of my blog.

Today's card is a Christmas card and I've used the Decorated with Happiness bundle which includes the Decorated with Happiness Stamp Set and Decorated Pine Dies where is located in the Stampin' Up! Mini Catalogue 2022.

I haven't used this bundle for a while, and I just love the tree branch stamped in Parakeet Party a number of times onto Basic White cardstock panel. Then I added Parakeet Party ink with the Blending Brush to the panel.

I die-cut out the large branch die from the Decorated with Happiness Dies in Basic White cardstock and added Parakeet Party ink with a Blending Brush. I left the edges of the die-cut pieces white to add some contrast.

The Sweet Sorbet ornaments are a watercolour wash onto Shimmery White Cardstock, once dry I then heat embossed the ornament images by stamping in Versamark, added White Emboss Powder and heat set with the Heat Tool.

To finish off the card, I added a couple of gold foil stars to the panel and the greeting is stamped in Parakeet Party.

I hope I've inspired you with the latest challenge and I do hope you'll join in. We so look forward to seeing a variety of projects using the challenge colours. Please ensure that your project is new and made specifically for this challenge.

Colour INKspiration Challenge #CI133

Hello and welcome,

My name is Vicki Boucher, and I am from Melbourne, Australia. Tonight, it's the latest Colour INKspiration Challenge #CI133 and this photo was chosen by Leonie Stuart. This is such a beautiful photo!

The colour combination for #CI133 is Coastal Cabana, Gorgeous Grape, Granny Apple Green, Mossy Meadow and Merry Merlot. As well as the chosen colours you may also add Basic White, Very Vanilla, Basic Black, Crumb Cake, Sahara Sand and metallics to your project. We also allow 'Ivory' and 'Bronze' in the Stampin' Blends. If you don't have all the colour palette, feel free to use the closest SU substitute (ie: Parakeet Party instead of Granny Apple Green .... you get the drift).

The challenge will run for almost 2 weeks until 7pm (AEST) on Monday 21st November 2022 details to follow at the end of my blog.

I used the Meadow Dies and Quiet Meadow stamp set for my card, I created a watercolour wash using Coastal Cabana ink onto Shimmery White cardstock panel. The flower and foliage images are die-cut out in Shimmery White Cardstock. Then using the Water Painters, I added the challenge colours to the images.

To finish off the card I added Very Vanilla Baker's Twine, the sentiment inked up in Coastal Cabana and layered over the twine. I added a few of the clear Polished Dots. I was after Coastal Cabana embellishments, but I don't have any.

This card was inspired and CASEd by the lovely Nikki Spencer; she made this beautiful card using this bundle a while ago.

I hope I've inspired you with the latest challenge and I do hope you'll join in. We so look forward to seeing a variety of projects using the challenge colours. Please ensure that your project is new and made specifically for this challenge.

Creation Station Blog Hop - Fun & Fancy Folds

 Hello and welcome

My name is Vicki Boucher, and I am from Melbourne, Australia. This is the latest hop with the design team at Creation Station, if you have come from Julie Beltramo or you may have started with me. Please make sure you hop around and see everyone's amazing projects. I'll pop a link at the end of my blog to hop around....

The design team at Creation Station are presenting their projects with the theme "Fun & Fancy Folds".

Today's project I've created a Fun or Fancy Fold this particular fold I've been using for over the last couple of years. It's my go to! It's easy to create and the card fits inside a C6 medium envelope from Stampin' Up!

To make the fold start with Real Red Cardstock cut at 14.9 x 21cm then score at 5.4, 8.4, 12.4 and 15.4cm use the Bone Folder when folding the along the score lines.

I've used the tartan stencil which is from the Artistic Mix Decorative Masks for the two panels and added Real Red ink with the Blending Brush. Then I added Shaded Spruce ink around the edges of the cardstock with the Blending Brush. I really like how it gives you the illusion of depth to each of the panels.

I've used a range of different products from the July to December 2022 Mini Catalogue, I like to mix them up for a different look. The candy cane is stamped in Real Red ink onto Kraft Paper and I added Crumb Cake ink around the edges with a Sponge Dauber. The holly leaves are die-cut out in Kraft Paper and then I added Shaded Spruce ink to the leaves with a Blending Brush.

Other elements I've used are stars or snowflakes from the Santa Express Memories & More card pack, I added a little ink to them to make them darker. I love wood elements when it comes to Christmas cards, so I used one of the Textural Elements and added ink for some interest.

To create the bow, I unraveled the Silver Threaded Twine and used the natural twine to form the bow. I just love the Bell Trinkets they are so cute!

All of the above pieces mentioned are added to the embossed gift tag from the Celebrations Tag Dies. I've die-cut the tag in Crumb Cake Cardstock, dry embossed using the Stripes 3D Embossing Folder and added Soft Suede ink to the edges.

Thank you for visiting my blog today, I would so love to hear your thoughts on my project by leaving a comment below. Make sure you pop over to Elizabeth Price for lots of inspiration using something Fancy or Fun in her projects.

Colour INKspiration Challenge #CI132

 Hello and welcome,

My name is Vicki Boucher, and I am from Melbourne, Australia. Tonight, it's the latest Colour INKspiration Challenge #CI132 and this photo was chosen by Cathy Pinchbeck. I just love this tropical photo; it makes me want to go on a holiday and preferably where it's not raining!

The colour combination for #CI132 is Tahitian Tide, Orchid Oasis, Starry Sky and Old Olive. As well as the chosen colours you may also add Basic White, Very Vanilla, Basic Black, Crumb Cake, Sahara Sand and metallics to your project. We also allow 'Ivory' and 'Bronze' in the Stampin' Blends. If you don't have all the colour palette, feel free to use the closest SU substitute (ie: Pear Pizzazz instead of Old Olive .... you get the drift).

The challenge will run for almost 2 weeks until 7pm (AEST) on Monday 7th November 2022 details to follow at the end of my blog.

Today's card is a slimline birthday card using the True Beauty bundle (158984) (visit my Stampin' Up! store to purchase) which can be located on page 67 in the Stampin' Up! 2022-23 Annual Catalogue. I just love the soft watercolour look of the floral images and this stamp set is perfect for lots of stamping in the challenge colours.

Starting with a sheet of Basic White cardstock measured at 8.5cm x 21cm. I always start with the largest image then work my way around the cardstock with the different images and colours. I finish off by using the Blending Brush and add ink in Orchid Oasis and Starry Sky ink. This way I don't leave any white space around the edges. I also like to splatter ink by using the Stampin' Write markers in the challenge colours.

Next, I added a few torn strips of Starry Sky 2022-2024 In Color 6"x 6" DSP to the stamped panel. I used the Organic Beauty and Forever Flourishing Dies to die-cut out some of the images and layered them under the sentiment.

A fun way to use the Old Olive Twill Ribbon is to unravel the threads of the ribbon and you'll end up with lots of fine strands.

To finish off the card I used the sentiment from Artistically Inked stamp set and stamped in Starry Sky ink. I added a few of the In Color 2022 - 24 Matte Decorative Dots to the card.

I hope I've inspired you with the latest challenge and I do hope you'll join in. We so look forward to seeing a variety of projects using the challenge colours. Please ensure that your project is new and made specifically for this challenge.

Artisan Design Team - A Secret Santa Case

 Hello and welcome,

My name is Vicki Boucher and I'm from Melbourne, Australia. Today I'll be sharing with you a Christmas card which I've CASED from another Artisan member from the Design Team. We are all doing a secret Santa over on Instagram where each of us will be casing another Artisan. This is so fun, and I can't wait to see who has cased me!! I'll have the link to my Instagram account at the end of this blog.

My CASE of the Secret Santa Case

Here's the card I've created, and my secret Santa is Melodie from @stampingwithmelodie her card is shown here below it has lots of layers and good use of Designer Series Paper. I love her card it's so bright and joyful! Make sure you follow her over on her Instagram account.

Melodie's card Instagram @stampingwithmelodie

I've used the Leaves of Holly bundle and combined it with the Storybook Gnomes Designer Series Paper all of these products can be found in the Stampin' Up! July - December 2022 Mini Catalogue.

I have taken the colours from the Designer Series Paper and used Pacific Point and Balmy Blue. I like how Melodie splattered the White craft ink onto the card base, it's a fun technique.

I've used three different sheets of DSP from the Storybook Gnomes Desginer Series Paper they combine well together. Under the holly and berries is a snowflake from the Wonderful Snowflakes, they have a nice shimmer shine to them.

I've stamped the berries in Pacific Point ink onto Balmy Blue cardstock and die-cut them out. The different pieces of holly are die-cut out and I added ink to the die-cut pieces using the Blending Brush.

To finish off the card, I've stamped the sentiment in Pacific Point ink onto Basic White cardstock and die-cut out using the label die. The embellishments are Fine Sparkle Gems, they are so pretty and have a nice sparkle to them.

Colour INKspiration Challenge #CI131

 Hello and welcome,

My name is Vicki Boucher, and I am from Melbourne, Australia. Tonight, it's the latest Colour INKspiration Challenge #CI131 and this photo was chosen by Bronwyn Eastley. This is such an adorable photo and I just love the colour palette.

The colour combination for #CI131 is Sweet Sorbet, Cherry Cobbler, Crumb Cake and Early Espresso. As well as the chosen colours you may also add Basic White, Very Vanilla, Basic Black, Sahara Sand and metallics to your project. We also allow 'Ivory' and 'Bronze' in the Stampin' Blends. If you don't have all the colour palette, feel free to use the closest SU substitute (ie: Poppy Parade instead of Sweet Sorbet .... you get the drift).

The challenge will run for almost 2 weeks until 7pm (AEST) on Monday 24th October 2022 details to follow at the end of my blog.

Today's card is a Christmas card using the Christmas Banners bundle (159993) (visit my Stampin' Up! store to purchase) which can be located on page 11 in the Stampin' Up! July - December 2022 Mini Catalogue. There is a variety of traditional greetings for your Christmas or holiday cards. There are different types of greenery images for both stamp images and dies.

Christmas Banners Bundle (159993)

I really love today's colour challenge and I wanted to create a rustic vintage style card. For the background Crumb Cake panel, I've used the Timber 3D embossing folder and embossed it. Then I scored the panel every half an inch using the Paper Trimmer, this gives you a timber board look. I added Crumb Cake and Early Espresso ink to the panel using the Blending Brush.

Next, I created a stitched hoop using the two largest stitched circles dies from the Stylish Shapes Dies and die-cut out using Cherry Cobbler Cardstock. To create the different elements of pine and leafy sprigs, I die-cut out a number of different shapes in Crumb Cake cardstock and added either Crumb Cake or Early Espresso ink with a Sponge Dauber to the images.

The boughs of holly and berries are stamped in Sweet Sorbet ink onto Crumb Cake cardstock. I wanted some dimension for the berries, so I used Foam Adhesive Sheets, die-cut them out and added Crumb Cake Stampin' Blender Pen to the sides of the foam.

To finish off the card I heat embossed the banner and sentiment using White Stampin' Powder onto Basic Black cardstock, then die-cut using the banner die. It sits nicely over the arrangement of the hoop and leafy sprigs. I've combined three different types of ribbons and tied them into a bow, I especially love the Black & White Gingham Ribbon the most.

I hope I've inspired you with the latest challenge and I do hope you'll join in. We so look forward to seeing a variety of projects using the challenge colours. Please ensure that your project is new and made specifically for this challenge.
